"Our fifth visit! It was so wonderful to have our children and grandchildren enjoying the cottage and Richmond. Thank you Marcia and Dennis for your kindness and hospitality. We absolutely loved the garden and our grandchildren loved playing with Lola. Visited Easby Abbey twice, the cafe at The Station for fabulous homemade scones. We enjoyed visiting St. Agatha's Church with its amazing wall paintings. Our visit to Kiplin Hall was a wonderful experience with excellent guides. " Thank you, Marcia and Dennis, for a really enjoyable few days (too few) at Garden Cottage. We have returned home to Somerset feeling homesick for Richmond. What a wonderful town and made so much more interesting thanks to your enthusiasm, Marcia. The garden is a joy, and full of interesting history and plants. It will continue to grow, but will remain romantic, quiet and a very special place. We all three appreciated the amenities, the generous welcome basket (fruit cake and Wensleydale cheese especially), the fresh flowers from the garden, and the recommendations to places eg. the Green Frog nursery. We appreciated all the little touches, the food basket and toiletries etc. It is an ideal base for us to explore the lovely surrounding areas.
