"Our fifth visit! It was so wonderful to have our children and grandchildren enjoying the cottage and Richmond. Thank you Marcia and Dennis for your kindness and hospitality. We absolutely loved the garden and our grandchildren loved playing with Lola. Visited Easby Abbey twice, the cafe at The Station for fabulous homemade scones. We enjoyed visiting St. Agatha's Church with its amazing wall paintings. Our visit to Kiplin Hall was a wonderful experience with excellent guides. Look forward to seeing you next year Marcia and Dennis."

- Couple from Co. Durham

"This is our third visit to Richmond and yet again we have loved every minute. Our stay has been made even more enjoyable due to the warm and welcoming nature of your beautiful cottage. The location is fantastic being so near to the town and all its amenities. Can we recommend Shanghai City for a delicious Chinese meal (takeaway only). Thank you Marcia and Dennis and we look forward to returning to your cottage in the near future!"

- Guests Return for a Third Time

"Our 5th visit to Garden Cottage, so we must like it! As ever a cosy, well-equipped home-from-home. We have enjoyed pretty good weather and everywhere is resplendent with Daffodils. Enjoyed excellent walks both locally to Easby and Round Howe as well as at Reeth to Grinton and at Hawes along the river. Hoping to return in '27."

- Fifth Stay at Garden Cottage

" Thank you, Marcia and Dennis, for a really enjoyable few days (too few) at Garden Cottage. We have returned home to Somerset feeling homesick for Richmond. What a wonderful town and made so much more interesting thanks to your enthusiasm, Marcia. The garden is a joy, and full of interesting history and plants. It will continue to grow, but will remain romantic, quiet and a very special place. We all three appreciated the amenities, the generous welcome basket (fruit cake and Wensleydale cheese especially), the fresh flowers from the garden, and the recommendations to places eg. the Green Frog nursery. I do hope we'll be back before too long."

- Couple from Somerset

"Richmond is such an attractive town, we can't wait to return. Wonderful architecture around, almost best of all, fantastic walks in every direction."

- Visitor from Norfolk

"A wonderful cottage in a fantastic location. Very comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. Lovely garden - we and the dog enjoyed it. Some superb walks around us. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Thanks you so much."

- Enjoyable Holiday for the Dog as Well

"Great place for a family get-together. Enjoyed exploring Richmond and local walks, despite the rain! Lovely, cosy cottage and amazing garden. Thank you."

- Family Get-Together

"Thank you for a lovely stay in your cosy cottage. Lovely, comfortable beds and spacious enough for everyone. We appreciated all the little touches, the food basket and toiletries etc. It is an ideal base for us to explore the lovely surrounding areas. The garden looked very welcoming, but the rain took over so we didn't get to enjoy it...maybe next time! Our little boy loved the piano, who knows? Maybe we have a future pianist in the making. We've loved every minute and thanks again. x"

"Spent the week with friends in autumnal mood - colours, mists and dark skies with a sunny afternoon at Raby Castle! A lovely, cosy house with all comforts and 'little touches' to make for a great reunion of northerners. Garden - amazing. What a majestic monkey puzzle!!"
