"Our fifth visit! It was so wonderful to have our children and grandchildren enjoying the cottage and Richmond. Thank you Marcia and Dennis for your kindness and hospitality. We absolutely loved the garden and our grandchildren loved playing with Lola. Visited Easby Abbey twice, the cafe at The Station for fabulous homemade scones. We enjoyed visiting St. Agatha's Church with its amazing wall paintings. Our visit to Kiplin Hall was a wonderful experience with excellent guides. Look forward to seeing you next year Marcia and Dennis."

"We had the best trip at this cottage! It is in the best location, a little bit away from the town centre but very walkable to everything you need. The rooms are all fabulous and the garden is lovely! About 30 minutes from Durham if you want to do a day trip. For a meal out, we enjoyed The Station. They also have very nice ice-cream. Lots of fantastic walks right from your doorstep. Would 100% book again. Thank you Marcia and Dennis."

"Lovely cosy cottage for our first visit to Richmond. We enjoyed the food at the Station and looking around the local Easby Abbey ruins. Picturesque location and great for exploring North Yorkshire and The Dales."

- Friends from London and Sheffield

"We enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable and cosy cottage very much. Very well equipped with everything we needed. Richmond was a great place to explore. We were lucky enough to experience the market on Saturday. We enjoyed the circular walk to Easby via the old railway track and returning by the path on the opposite bank. Also the walk from the bridge to the station and then back through the gardens with good views of the falls. Georgian Theatre tour was a highlight - what a treasure. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay. PS Your gardens are amazing and it was so nice to be able to explore them."

"Our fourth visit to Garden Cottage. The weather has been excellent, which gave the opportunity for relaxing in the wonderful garden, reading, painting and enjoying the peace and quiet. The castle was superb with its great views over the countryside and town. Promenaded to Easby Abbey, which is such an atmospheric place. Look forward to seeing you again Marcia and Dennis, later in the year."
